Core shop
In the in-house core shop the casting mould obtains elements representing the complicated shapes of the castings, i.e. cores. They are manufactured from:
- oil-sands in wing mixers,
- based on water glass, using a PZU-6 unit
- and from self-hardening moulding sands, according to Alphaset technology in a Axmann mixing and dosing machine.
Melting shop
Finished moulds are poured with liquid metal, which is melted in two electric arc furnaces with a tonnage of 1.5 and 3 tonnes.
Treatment
Once they set and are knocked out on tipping grates, the castings are transferred to the cleaning shop. We have at our disposal OWT-400 and OWP/S shot blasting machines, which clean elements with the diameter of up to 3,500 mm and the height of 2,000 mm.
